David Attenborough: "This awful summer? We've only ourselves to blame..."

There is an excellent interview with David Attenborough on The Independent site. The best quote has to be:
"There is no question that climate change is happening; the only arguable point is what part humans are playing in it," he says. "I would be absolutely astounded if population growth and industrialisation and all the stuff we are pumping into the atmosphere hadn't changed the climatic balance. Of course it has. There is no valid argument for denial."
The question is: what are we going to do about it?

I am still stunned that large numbers of politicians (especially over in the States) are still denying the existence of man made global warming. Stunning stupidity. Then again, maybe they just don't give a toss that the US is now experiencing the worst drought since the dust bowls of the Great Depression.

Maybe some people know it is going on but don't care because they hope the worst effects will occur after they are gone. They assume they own the world, rather than it being something we have a responsibility to care for, not exploit. Thanks for the comment!
