CIN stands for Caredig i Natur, which is Welsh for 'Kind to Nature'. Here nature means all green issues which affect the natural environment, from recycling to road building, from organic permaculture to animal welfare. The name is pronounced 'kin', with resonances of the relationships between all living things.

Is more evidence needed?
The Department of Health in the UK recommends people to cut down their meat intake to reduce their risk of bowel cancer. Good news! There has been a long record of evidence for this but rarely has this turned into advice or recommendations - because the Government is scared of the powerful farming lobby. But people's health is important and it's good that they are being told the truth about their diet, even if the recommendations are still too weak. The advice comes from the Scientific Advisory Commission on Nutrition for the government. More here.
